Is the USA the “Babylon” of Revelation 18, marked for destruction?
Revelation 18 talks of a country the Bible calls “Babylon” that is destroyed by fire in “one hour” and plagued with “death, mourning and famine”. Revelation 18:8
Could this “Babylon” be the USA? Does it fit?
Revelation 18 describes the following about the Babylon mentioned:

2. It is a wealthy country that even sells its money (gold & silver). Rev. 18:11-12

5. It lives in luxury. Rev. 18:7
6. It helps others get rich. Rev. 18:19, Rev. 18:3
7. It is ‘married’ to another country. Rev. 18:7
8. It is suddenly and utterly destroyed by fire. Rev. 18:8, Rev. 18:9-10, Rev. 18:17-18
9. It is responsible for many deaths. Rev. 18:24
Does the USA fit? Let’s go down the list one at a time.
It is a literal place with lots of wealth and products to sell. Rev. 18:12-13
Unlike the desert city of Babylon, Iraq, (map) which hasn’t sold much of anything, the USA has been a major producer. Until recently, its products were sold all over the world.
It is a wealthy country that even sells its money. Rev. 18:11-12, Rev. 18:3
The USA’s paper “Dollar” has been the world’s currency since the end of World War 2. Global trade is mostly done in “dollars”. Until recently, countries have bought lots of “dollars”. China owns about a trillion of them. LINK (That is changing. Satan’s new gold backed currency is fast approaching.)
It is a country that deceives all other countries. Rev. 18:23
Most in the USA think of ourselves as the ‘good guys’. After all, the USA is for “Liberty and Justice for all!”, right?
Maybe not. Let’s review USA history:
1. The early American Indians received little “liberty and justice”. LINK
2. So did lots of folks with dark skin. LINK
3. The Southerners learned of USA liberty when they chose to constitutionally withdraw from the Union because of unfair taxation. LINK The “Civil War” wasn’t mainly about slavery. LINK
4. In the early 1900’s Germany was becoming a world power to rival Great Britain and the USA. Two “great” wars beat them back down. LINK
5. The Korean War was all about global (United Nations) dominance. LINK
6. So was the Vietnam disaster. LINK
7. Iraq, Afghanistan, perhaps soon Pakistan and all of these Middle East “uprisings” are about money and control by the global banking elite. LINK

Rather obvious. One word: “Hollywood”.
It lives in luxury. Rev. 18:7
The USA has been a very wealthy country indeed!

Examples of this abound. One of the most obvious is the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. King Abdullah’s oil fields were not developed by the Bedouin, but by Rockefeller’s Exxon Mobile and Rothschild’s Royal Dutch Shell.
It is a country that is tied to another country. Rev. 18:7
The USA is tied to England. 1776 was a family squabble. Just follow the money:
1. The world’s “dollar” monetary system is controlled by the New York Federal Reserve Bank. LINK
2. The Federal Reserve is privately owned by global bankers with names like Rothschild, and others. LINK
3. Rothschild also controls the Bank of England. LINK (Bank of International Settlements, International Monetary Fund, World Bank, etc.)
Ergo, the USA is, economically speaking, England’s “Queen”; and not a “widow”. Rev. 18:7
It is suddenly and utterly destroyed by fire. Rev. 18:8, Rev. 18:9-10, Rev. 18:17-18
Obviously this has not happened yet. How could it?
One possible answer: Yellowstone. It is one of the world’s greatest calderas; a cauldron into the belly of the earth that is capable of producing a monster volcano. LINK

It is a country responsible for many deaths. Rev. 18:24

True statement: Wars are deliberately planned by Satan and his global rulers for profit and control, always leading us closer to his coming world government.

The string of arguments, above, is exactly what Satan strives for. We are all Christians and should all be prepared for Judgement day. It doesn’t matter “who” is Babylon. It matters that we, as Christians, are in this world and not of this world. It matters that we tell others about the Gospel and that we gather others. Yes, it is frightening to read Revelation and it is sobering to think about end times. Remember with Christ on your side: We will overcome by the blood of the Lamb and the Word of our testimony.
Completely wrong simply because its simple we are not the whore of Babylon…now people might think that im crazy but lets take a look at the middle east. Another thing too consider is we are a Christan country but not perfect. Lets take a look at Islam and their main beliefs…for instance the false prophets or better yet they are currently forming a army..also look at how their reforming after the end of the ottoman empire “lethal blow too the head” or look at current day the black flag prophecy. I could go into a hours long debate and give you deeper detail. My simple answer is this our “antichrist” shares the same characteristics as their messiah the “Mahdi”. I dont agree with this because in revelations 18:8 its refers to a women , the united states is masculine , for example : In latin languages estados unidos would be masculine . It could be refering to a States .
okay here it is ! Its gonna be china ! its one of the biggest shipping ports in the world and it talks about cargo, sailor , import and exports ! China is feminine and most prophets in the bible were from Mediterranean Basin (Syria, Lebanon, Israel, Egypt), Mesopotamia (Iraq, Jordon, a part of Iran) and Arabic Peninsula.

This article is nuts. Christ came to spread love. The scriptures say that God is Love. You are spreading fear. The scriptures say that you will know them by their fruit. Your fruit is the fruit of fear. The scriptures are clear that the devil is the author of fear. As a dedicated Christian for 35 years, I disagree in the strongest terms with the spirit behind your witch hunt.

This is a very accurate article. I would just like the add to it though. The Bible also claims that Christians will be hated and I see that occurring right now.

How is it that there has not been a nuclear destination in a populated city since 1945? The proliferation of weapons is expanding. America’s falling away from God’s design, is reason enough for Him to remove His protective hand from US advisories.

Iraq, was destroyed by 1oo pound bombs that we bombed them with. Like 100 pound hailstorm but artillery instead of hail storm. I believe Babylon the great is Iraq. They are a major producer in oil. There hands are soaked in the blood of the saints. Christians or jews who possible were executed for not following islam. That happened a lot their. For the most part. Are country is composed of Christians and a free religion. To believe in any religion. We accept others religious beliefs without killings. I believe that we are more acceptable to god in this country because we do not kill the saints. That would be the most important. Not killing his saints. Are nation by far is not greedy. Mystery Babylon is Washington D.C. In all it’s buildings and city layouts are the clues to it’s connectons to past hidden and secret mysteries of Babylon. It is the capital of the new Roman Empire, it is based on Roman Republican form of government. It’s capital buildings are all based on Roman design. As with the old Roman empire, it’s ambition is to rule all nations and be the world’s most powerful nation. It’s downfall will be due to it’s greed. As prophesied by others the eastern seaboard will submerged below the waters due to extreme facturing of a great fault that runs along the length of the Mississippi river. The facturing will be due to the extensive use of fracture mining for shale gas along the this fault line.
If a city and not America per se, it could be NYC, esp. with regard to economic wealth and cultural influence.

All scriptures prophesying about the latter days were given to help those who will let themselves see the signs of the end times so that they can be prepared and ready. To be really ready for what is to come involves a combination of temporal and spiritual preparedness. If you are just listening to others and their opinions, you will never be ready. One has to prayerfully study it out for him- or herself. If you are focusing primarily on the opinions of others rather than digging into the scriptures, you will probably be led astray. Also, to find answers, a person has to prayerfully study the scriptures—not just casually reading them occasionally. Also, don’t let religious traditions prevent you from finding the truth.

My God has taught me recently that the things of this world is nothing. I used to make more $$$ than i do now, i was angry at the time because i lost what i considered power. which was the money. But my God helped me open my heart and allowed me to realize this old world and i just dont match up. i still struggle with other worldly things (sex) but he is really helping me with that too. Ive had to endure hard lessons but do feel they have potential to be worth my while if i let God do the work

Rev 18:10,16,19 and 21 mention it as a “city” and not a country, although the city may well represent the country it belongs to, just as Babylon represented Babylonia in ancient times.
And what better place that city can possibly be than New York City, it being:
1. a city that hosts the United Nations headquarters, which sits on waters by the bay – Rev 17:15 “The waters which you saw, where the harlot sits, are peoples, multitudes, nations, and tongues” ; rev17:18 “The woman whom you saw is the great city, which reigns over the kings of the earth.”
2. A city where wealth is concentrated
3. A city that is at the bayside
Rev 18:17 “And every shipmaster and every [af]passenger and sailor, and as many as make their living by the sea, stood at a distance, 18 and were crying out as they saw the smoke of her burning, saying, ‘What city is like the great city?’”
Perhaps 9-11 was the prelude for what is yet to come.

Well, according to the Bible, America, or the United States to be more specific, is actually the descendants of Ancient Israel.
The United States are the descendants of Manasseh. It isn’t even speculation, reading through the Bible makes it clear. The promises given to Abraham, and how those physical blessings of children numbering as the “stars of heaven” and becoming exceedingly great, were passed on to Joseph’s sons, Ephriam and Manasseh. Ephriam would have the greater blessing, the bible talks about his children becoming “many nations” and that the sun would never set on their empire. Ephriam eventually became Great Britain, as the line of David was preserved by the Prophet Jeremiah when he took the princesses of Judah (the sons and the king of Judah had been killed by Babylon when they took them into captivity–yet God promised David that his throne would always and forever have a ruler) to the region we know as Ireland–actually the Queen of England today is sitting on that throne, and we know that Christ will eventually sit on it in the future. But anyway, Ephriam’s brother, Manasseh, would become the United States. There are many other proofs of this–if anyone is interested I’m more than happy to share the plethora of information about this.
Anyway, the United States is NOT Babylon, but God will pronounce judgement on it! The Prophecies in Ezekiel are of harsh punishment for Israel, but during the time it was written, Israel had already disappeared! The prophecies were for US today!!! The descendants of Israel!

I find it so very interestng to read many old comments from months or yrs ago to see the pattern of thought for those times and the hopes of the future yet, here I am in that future knowing how many things have change as of late . As America has degraded from within over many decades and corruption is the real game going on here I believe the hopeless destruction will come from within as well (not external) . Surly 911 was not an unknown event to our govt – the evidence all points to a deception and a beginning -a beginning of the total control over this country and all its people. If the truth be known more rights have been stripped away from American people in the past 11 yrs then the last 200 yrs have done and for the reason of our security(so it is claimed). The time has been growing much shorter for the enemy (the fallen ones)and the process is speeding up -it is no longer a question of time either the true point of great change is seen now and the world is almost on that mark . The account of David and Goliath is a perfect example – The armies did not have enough faith in God but little shepard boy ,David did so God took out the-tallest with the smallest-simple how small faith needs to be as long as its genuine from the heart. So sad that so many people (christians) are tearing each other up over that which was said and done by -Jesus- being of(child like faith) and faith as big as mustard seed . You know the simple truth of Gods teachings are the correct ones and the very last commandment Jesus left was-Love one another as I have Loved you (he didnt say -you have to right over others) Love your enemies-thats a difficult one to swallow . There are two beasts mentioned in Revelation chapter 13. The First From The Sea [ The European Union] and The Second From The Land [ The United States ]. The European Union is ‘Babylon The Great’ which arises from an area consisting of numerous: Languages, Cultures, and Peoples. The United States is her ‘False Prophet’ which arises where there are very few: Languages, Cultures, and Peoples.
The False Prophet: assists in the creation of Babylon The Great, announces her completion, and serves as her Political and Military champion. So, that she may conceal herself for a time. And ‘The False Prophet’: “Makes fire come down from heaven in the sight of all other nations” – Revelation 13:13.

In Babylon was found the blood of the prophets and the saints, Rev 18:24. America is not known for killing and slaughtering Christians. Everything has to fit together here. This Chapter also tells us that all nations have been involved with Babylon, Rev 18:3. Clearly all nations don’t stand with or are involved with America. So what fits the definition of slaughtering the saints and all nations being involved with it? It is not a country or a city, it is a system. The love of money is the root of all evil. Every nation, every kingdom, and every leader is in love with money, in whatever form it may come in. The love of money and the things that are associated with money and gaining more of it is what has always been the motivation for killing the saints. Business men have become rich not just from commerce with America, but commerce as a whole. There are people in countries that have no ties with America at all that prosper.
Babylon is the worlds system and it will be destroyed in a single hour, when our Father releases the Four Apocalyptic Horseman. As soon as He does, a measure of wheat will cost a whole days wages and the whole economic system will collapse.
I have no real opinion of how the ‘end’ will happen, but I feel the need to point out that we won’t know when. Matthew 24:36 says “No one knows about the day or the hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.” The question of when is none of our concern. I think we should spend less time worrying about how it will happen and more time focusing on living the way Christ calls us to.
This is a common misconception among Christians. All he is saying is that no man will know the exact time of his return. But we CAN know when the time is near (mat 24:33) and it is our jobs as Christians to understand prophecy and be knowledgable (rev 1:3)
No where in The Great Commission are we to speculate about the end. Jesus calls us to love God with all your heart, soul, and mind and love your neighbor as yourself. Maybe if more people were concerned with their own relationship with Christ and loving saints and sinners alike we would be fulfilling scripture instead of trying to predict it. Israel is the firstfruits of God’s harvest (Jeremiah 2:3) and the nations are included in His harvest.
We are to live Christian lives each day. But the bible does encourage us to know what’s going on. Plus, the book Revelation is the only one that promises a blessing.
The future of the kingdom of GOD comes down to whether individual rank-and-file CHRIST-followers will do their everyday part. Don’t worry about EMP’s, worry about putting GOD first place in your life.

The sudden destruction could also come from a EMP, an ‘electro-magnetic pulse’. It is a nuke detonated at altitude. It is suppose to be able to knock out the entire electric grid and all things electric, including cars, computers and things with computer chips.
Newt Gingrich wrote the forward to One Second After, a scary book based on an EMP aftermath, he was #1 man in congress and is now running for President. Maybe another false flag.
Either way, it seems North America will be toast one day, and Jesus Christ knew about it long ago. The question is ‘when’?
