Revelation 18 talks of a country the Bible calls “Babylon” that is destroyed by fire in “one hour” and plagued with “death, mourning and famine”. Revelation 18:8

Could this “Babylon” be the USA? Does it fit?

Revelation 18 describes the following about the Babylon mentioned:

1. It is a literal place, with lots of wealth and products to sell. Rev. 18:12-13

2. It is a wealthy country that even sells its money (gold & silver). Rev. 18:11-12

3. It is a country that deceives all other countries. Rev. 18:23

4. It spreads its sexual immorality to other countries. Rev. 18:3

5. It lives in luxury. Rev. 18:7

6. It helps others get rich. Rev. 18:19, Rev. 18:3

7. It is ‘married’ to another country. Rev. 18:7

8. It is suddenly and utterly destroyed by fire. Rev. 18:8, Rev. 18:9-10, Rev. 18:17-18

9. It is responsible for many deaths. Rev. 18:24

Does the USA fit? Let’s go down the list one at a time.

It is a literal place with lots of wealth and products to sell. Rev. 18:12-13

Unlike the desert city of Babylon, Iraq, (map) which hasn’t sold much of anything, the USA has been a major producer. Until recently, its products were sold all over the world.

It is a wealthy country that even sells its money. Rev. 18:11-12, Rev. 18:3

The USA’s paper “Dollar” has been the world’s currency since the end of World War 2. Global trade is mostly done in “dollars”. Until recently, countries have bought lots of “dollars”. China owns about a trillion of them. LINK (That is changing. Satan’s new gold backed currency is fast approaching.)

It is a country that deceives all other countries. Rev. 18:23

Most in the USA think of ourselves as the ‘good guys’. After all, the USA is for “Liberty and Justice for all!”, right?

Maybe not. Let’s review USA history:

1. The early American Indians received little “liberty and justice”. LINK

2. So did lots of folks with dark skin. LINK

3. The Southerners learned of USA liberty when they chose to constitutionally withdraw from the Union because of unfair taxation. LINK The “Civil War” wasn’t mainly about slavery. LINK

4. In the early 1900’s Germany was becoming a world power to rival Great Britain and the USA. Two “great” wars beat them back down. LINK

5. The Korean War was all about global (United Nations) dominance. LINK

6. So was the Vietnam disaster. LINK

7. Iraq, Afghanistan, perhaps soon Pakistan and all of these Middle East “uprisings” are about money and control by the global banking elite. LINK

It spreads its sexual immorality to other countries. Rev. 18:3

Rather obvious. One word: “Hollywood”.

It lives in luxury. Rev. 18:7

The USA has been a very wealthy country indeed!

It is now experiencing increasing poverty as criminal bankers foreclose on the planet. For a heartbreaking example here is a link to a 60 Minutes piece about banker foreclosure fraud. LINK

It helps others get rich. Rev. 18:19, Rev. 18:3

Examples of this abound. One of the most obvious is the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. King Abdullah’s oil fields were not developed by the Bedouin, but by Rockefeller’s Exxon Mobile and Rothschild’s Royal Dutch Shell.

It is a country that is tied to another country. Rev. 18:7

The USA is tied to England. 1776 was a family squabble. Just follow the money:

1. The world’s “dollar” monetary system is controlled by the New York Federal Reserve Bank. LINK

2. The Federal Reserve is privately owned by global bankers with names like Rothschild, and others. LINK

3. Rothschild also controls the Bank of England. LINK (Bank of International Settlements, International Monetary Fund, World Bank, etc.)

Ergo, the USA is, economically speaking, England’s “Queen”; and not a “widow”. Rev. 18:7

It is suddenly and utterly destroyed by fire. Rev. 18:8, Rev. 18:9-10, Rev. 18:17-18

Obviously this has not happened yet. How could it?

One possible answer: Yellowstone. It is one of the world’s greatest calderas; a cauldron into the belly of the earth that is capable of producing a monster volcano. LINK

It could cause the whole of North America to be covered by a devastating cloud of ash.

It’s been discovered that earthquakes, 2000 miles away, off the North West coast, are linked to geyser increases in Yellowstone! LINK

It is a country responsible for many deaths. Rev. 18:24

This subject is horrible to contemplate. Examples: Hiroshima LINK, Agent Orange LINK. War’s cost in misery and death is incalculable.

True statement: Wars are deliberately planned by Satan and his global rulers for profit and control, always leading us closer to his coming world government.

Example C) Here is obvious evidence that the endless, so called “War on Terror” sadly began by using professional demolition experts on 911. LINK Hundreds of thousands of folks have been hurt or killed ever since.

Other countries are forced to get into debt and trade in USA paper “dollars” or else! If you don’t want to participate in the “dollar” denominated banking system you can find yourself at the wrong end of a very big gun. (Video LINK: Economic Hit Man.)

The USA has lots of guns. The USA Military is currently stationed in 150 of the 194 countries of the world. LINK & LINK

John 19:31 makes it clear that Our Lord’s crucifixion occurred on “preparation” day, i.e. preparation of the Passover meal. In other words, as most Jews were killing their lamb without blemish, God’s lamb, Jesus Christ, was also being slaughtered as a sacrifice for the sins of the world.

“Behold the Lamb of God, who takes away the sins of the world.” John 1:29

Wednesday was 13 Nissan, ‘Preparation Day’ for Passover which is 14 Nissan. For Jews, all days start at sundown.

John 19:14-16 says: Now it was the day of Preparation of the Passover. It was about the sixth hour (mid-day). He said to the Jews, “Behold your King!” They cried out, “Away with him, away with him, crucify him!” Pilate said to them, “Shall I crucify your King?” The chief priests answered, “We have no king but Caesar.” So he delivered him over to them to be crucified.

(It was a bitter sweet day indeed. Few understood it at the time. Few understand it today.)

Confusion about the day of the week is easily explained. Mark 15:42 says it was “preparation day, the day before the Sabbath”. Folks assume he is referring to the Saturday Sabbath. Not so.

There were 3 Sabbaths in a row that week, two “high” Sabbaths and one regular weekly Sabbath (Saturday).

Passover is a “High Sabbath” (14 Nissan)

1^st day of the Feast of Unleavened Bread is a “High Sabbath” (15 Nissan)

Saturday’s are Sabbaths. (16 Nissan that week.)

Jesus foretold that He would be in the “heart of the earth for three days and three nights” and He was! Matthew 12:40

Friday at 6:00 p.m. through Sunday at dawn (36 hours) is NOT three days and three nights. It’s silly to try and make it so.

Jesus’ body died at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday – on 13 Nissan. He raised His body back to life sometime after dusk on Saturday – on 17 Nissan. On 14, 15 and 16 Nissan His body was dead, buried in a tomb – three days and three nights. Mark 15:42-47 Luke 24:1-12

This should put the issue to bed, so to speak. Isn’t it obvious? Jesus Christ is our Passover lamb. Jesus predicted it. The whole Bible speaks of it.

On a previous Passover Jesus promised the unbelievers a sign. His death and resurrection was what He promised them as a sign. John 2:18-22

Abraham’s sacrifice of Isaac on the same hill was a ‘type’ to signify Christ’s crucifixion. Genesis 22:1-22

Way back in the Garden of Eden, God promised that Satan’s head would be bruised, but not before Satan would bruise His heel. Genesis 3:15 This also was also a foreshadow of the crucifixion, the price God decreed would be paid for Adam’s sin.

(One can recover from a bruise on ones heel. Satan will never recover from the head bruise to be inflicted one day. He will be in the Lake of Fire forever! Halleluiah! Revelation 20:7-10)

The ‘Passover lamb’ was the most obvious type of Christ. You can quickly read the story in Exodus 12. The firstborn all died. Jesus Christ, being God, was also God’s firstborn.

He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through him and for him. And he is before all things, and in him all things hold together. And he is the head of the body, the church. He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in everything he might be preeminent. For in him all the fullness of God was pleased to dwell, and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether on earth or in heaven, making peace by the blood of his cross. Colossians 1:15-20

Oh my, the riches of the Word of God!

How can one read it and not see it flawless synchronization, every page pointing to Jesus Christ?

HAPPY RESURECTION DAY TO EVERYBODY AWAITING OUR LORD’S CORRONATION!

Much of the world is currently revolting against their rulers.

Globally, we are on an economic precipice. LINK Many are in despair. For many, these are terrible times.

So, the Rocktagon asks this question: Are disasters God’s wake up call?

Should folks be angry with God? If He is God couldn’t He stop this? Wouldn’t a good God stop this?

Or is God allowing Satan a free hand and the fruits of our sin to take its course. Is He reminding us that we ignore Him at our peril?

Jesus Christ once was asked by His disciples what signs would signify the close of the age. (Matthew 24:3-8) He answered: “For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be famines and earthquakes in various places. All these are but the beginning of the birth pains”. He then added that before the end would come the Gospel of God’s Kingdom would be preached in the whole world. (Matthew 24:9-14)

This website is seen globally. Earthquakes abound. LINK Our rulers have engineered perpetual war. LINK Are these the times referred to by Christ?

Even if you don’t think so it may not hurt to be more informed and more prepared. Be sure to check out our Sign of the Times news entries for today, 3/17/11. More earthquakes are predicted. ‘Reactor #3’ is filled with plutonium (MOX fuel). It is MUCH worse than uranium!

First, please hover over these verses: Psalm 107:25, Isaiah 45:7, Jeremiah 31:35, Isaiah 55:11, Matthew 8:24-26.

It quickly becomes obvious that God’s Word says that He is in control. He calls on the entire world to repent. To turn from our wicked ways and seek peace in love and in truth.

Jeremiah 18:6-12 says God brings disaster on nations. But if they turn from their evil God will relent.

I fear for the USA. I pray to God that we can collectively expose evil (Eph. 5:11) and turn toward God.

Though we are all called to do our part, our hope must not be in the response of the rest of mankind. Our hope must be in the One who claimed to have conquered death (Romans 6:7-9) and overcome this world (John 16:33) (1 John 5:1-5); Jesus the Christ, HaMashiach Jeshua (Jesus the Messiah), the King of Kings and Lord of Lords!

His Kingdom is coming. It is what He taught us to pray for. Matthew 6:9-10

And His heavenly Kingdom for us will be COOL! Philippians 3:20, 1 Corinthians 2:9

His new heaven and new earth for His bride will be nice too! Isaiah 65:17-25

Let us do as the Lord taught: love God and love others. This means we are to help our neighbor. Right now, most of us can use a lot of help.

Was He really the long awaited ‘Savior’, ‘Messiah’, ‘Christ’ and ‘King of Kings’ as some claim? Was He also the sacrificial “Lamb of God”?

Who did HE say He was?

He claimed to be the Savior, God’s only Son. …the high priest asked him, “Are you the Christ, the Son of the Blessed?” And Jesus said, “I am, and you will see the Son of Man seated at the right hand of Power, and coming with the clouds of heaven.”  Mark 14:61b-62.

Let’s face it, if this is not true then he had to be either a ‘good liar’, ‘crazy’ or both.
After all, they crucified Him for claiming these things.

Could a ‘crazy liar’ literally change the world with a message of love, forgiveness and eternal life? Unlikely.

So, who is this ‘Son of God’?

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through Him all things were made. John 1:1-3

Jesus Christ is our Creator.      He is worthy of our worship! Revelation 4:11

And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth. John 1:14

God became a man.
Why? The answer is simple:

…. Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners …. 1 Timothy 1:12-17

As a deeper understanding of Jesus Christ dawns upon us, awareness of our sin becomes more intense.

The Bible is clear. All mankind is born with a sinful nature. We are natural born sinners.

We’ve all lied, cheated or stole at one time or another. That’s sin.
The Bible says we are spiritually dead in our sins. Ephesians 2:1-23

And sin, just like the breaking of any law, requires payment of a penalty.

God’s penalty for sin is death.

For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 6:23

Jesus Christ said to be with God forever we must “be perfect” Matthew 5:48

Why, because God is perfect and He demands perfection.

“But wait!”, one might say, “I’m a pretty good person.”
If you have lied you are a liar. If you have stolen you are a thief.
No amount of good deeds changes the fact that we are all sinners.

So, if sin = death (body first, soul at the judgment) we’re lost, permanently separated from the God who created us.

Impossible situation you say? Yes. Jesus even said so.
“It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich person to enter the kingdom of God.” When the disciples heard this, they were greatly astonished, saying, “Who then can be saved?” But Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” Matthew 19:24-26

So how did God save us?

It’s good news. In fact the word ‘Gospel’ means ‘Good News’.

Wandering Israelites grumbled and complained against God. God sent snakes to bite and kill many of them. Moses prayed to God for help. God told Moses to make a bronze snake and put it on a pole. Numbers 21:4-9 So Moses made a bronze serpent and set it on a pole. And if a serpent bit anyone, he would look at the bronze serpent and LIVE.

About 1450 years later we learn from Jesus Christ that He was the fulfillment of that strange story. He said:

“And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, so must the Son of Man be lifted up, that whoever believes in him may have eternal LIFE.” John 3:15

The snake represented sin. The snake on the pole represented Christ on the cross. Jesus Christ BECAME OUR SIN. 2 Cor. 5:21 Our sin was put to DEATH on the cross. Jesus Christ literally paid for OUR SIN with His own flesh and blood.

Jesus mentioned the ‘snake on the pole’ story just before He uttered the most famous verse in the Bible:

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal LIFE.” John 3:16

When we have faith in the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross paying for our sin we are assured of eternal life with Him. By His stripes we are healed! Isaiah 53:5

Another famous story: The Lamb of God

His older cousin, John the Baptist said: “Behold the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world.”

On a fateful Friday the 13^th an Angel of death killed all the firstborn in Egypt who were not protected by the blood of a lamb. Jesus was God’s sacrificial lamb. Exodus 11:4-6 and Exodus 12

Abraham sacrifices Isaac

The story of Abraham and Isaac is also a picture of Christ. God provided the required sacrifice for sin in Isaac’s place. Genesis 22:1-14

May you joyfully discover that the entire Bible, Old and New Testament, is ALL about Jesus Christ!

♥  Almost 2000 years ago Jesus Christ rose from the grave after three days. He lives now and forever. He freely gives eternal life to all who truly believe in Him.

After Christ had risen from the dead he questioned his most outspoken apostle.
Jesus said to Simon Peter, “Simon, son of John, do you love me more than these?” He said to him, “Yes, Lord; you know that I love you.” He said to him, “Feed my lambs.” He said to him a second time, “Simon, son of John, do you love me?” He said to him, “Yes, Lord; you know that I love you.” He said to him, “Tend my sheep.” He said to him the third time, “Simon, son of John, do you love me?” Peter was grieved because he said to him the third time, “Do you love me?” and he said to him, “Lord, you know everything; you know that I love you.” Jesus said to him, “Feed my sheep.” John 21:15-17

There we have it. We are to love Jesus Christ and serve others in His name.

Loving Jesus Christ includes getting to know Jesus Christ. He can be found through His Word to us, the Bible. You are online. There are many Bibles online.

The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law. And those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. Galatians 5:22-24

Therefore, we are Ambassadors for Christ, God making his appeal through us.  2 Corinthians 5:20 a

An ‘Ambassador’ speaks for his King in a foreign land. And in this world we are definitely in a foreign land!

Jesus said “My Kingdom is not of this world”. John 18:36
He also said Satan was the “Ruler of this world” (John 14:30)

As long as we have breath it’s our job to speak for our King! His message of ‘repentance and forgiveness of sins’ should be joyfully proclaimed to those He puts in our path.

Jesus said: “Thus it is written, that the Christ should suffer and on the third day rise from the dead, and that repentance and forgiveness of sins should be proclaimed in his name to all nations” Luke 24:44-48

Are you speaking for your King? Are you serving others in His Name? Are you presenting His offer of eternal life?

“Truly, truly, I say to you, WHOEVER  hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal LIFE. He does not come into judgment, but has passed from death to LIFE.” John 5:24

His offer is open to all!

’No eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man imagined,
what God has prepared for those who love him.’ 1 Corinthians 2:9

Let us enthusiastically speak of our Savior and King, Jesus Christ, the Judge of all creation Acts 17:31, who paid the price for our sins HIMSELF! His love for us is incalculable! Oh my God!
